300-Pound Model Walks the Runway

Have you ever thought about becoming a model but didn't have a tiny frame or couldn't stick to a diet to become thin enough for the demands of the media? Well, Velvet d'Amour is a living example that you can break the mold. She tired to get into ,modeling and straved herself in an attempt to be thin enough for the image the media wanted.

20 years later, after making a loving as a photographer, she now has the chance to step out from behind the camera. She's beautiful, she's confident and she's a size 28.

What's different about Velvet is not just her size. She loves herself and her body. It's that confidence and attitude that will help her succeed in this business.

Though I could not imagine modeling myself, I applaud Velvet for taking the chance and putting herself out there. I think it is great to see a variety of sizes and shapes in the media rather than the same anorexic look in magazines, on TV and on the runway.

DISGUSTING! A model is by definition a goal or a state to attain. Living like this is neither healthy or beautiful. The human frame is not designed (by god or not) to support this amount. It's very simple this is gluttony and never to be applauded.
