Holiday Travel Tips
- Are prices ridiculous days before and after Christmas? If at all possible, fly in the afternoon the day of the holiday, for example the day of Christmas and New Year's. Fares are usually cheaper then.
- In addition to the discount airlines, check prices on the major carriers. You may be surprise at what you find.
- Leaving your car at the airport during your trip? Keep some jumper cables in the trunk just in case your battery dies while you're gone.
- Check in early. Flights are normally overbooked during the holidays.
- Do NOT wrap presents. You'll only be disappointed when security unwraps them to see what's inside.
- Remember: No liquids in your carry-ons. This includes necessities like eye drops and hand sanitizers.
- If you have to travel on a weekend, Saturday is usually not as busy as Sunday.
- More importantly, relax and have fun!
