Who Knew Silver Was So Great?

I’ve been playing around with use of color in my home office and studio space and, unfortunately, I’m a bit limited. The walls are black. Yes, black. Therefore, introduction of other dark colors in an already dark room isn’t a good idea. I’ve gotten around this, though.

The rug runs from wall-to-wall and it’s a smoky gray tone. I painted the trim one shade lighter than the rug, as well as a shelving unit and a cabinet handing on the wall. We have plans for a larger shelving unit that will fit around a desk placed on the back wall, which will also be painted that light gray shade.

The walls have been covered with frames I spray painted sliver, small silver framed mirrors, blank white canvases, and book sculptures. Everything is in various sizes, so the juxtaposition makes the entire wall look like one large piece of art. It came out far better than I could have ever imagined.
