Surrounded by Inspiration

I find that, lately, I’m surrounded by so many inspirational things . . . but I can’t seem to find the time to tap into any of them. When you’re faced with this problem, how do you find a solution?

For me, it’s easier to solve this problem some times in comparison to others. For example, I would love to create art this evening, but I can’t. Why can’t I? Responsibilities reign high:
  1. I have to work until late this afternoon.
  2. My nephew was absent yesterday and the day before, so that means more homework to help him with.
  3. My nephew’s school has its Open House tonight and, if we can finish his homework early enough, the family is going to attend.

I could work in my art journal when we return and all of the kids are in bed. However, I have to be realistic. The reality of the situation, even though I’m not upon it yet, is that I’m going to be exhausted by the time I tuck the last child in and turn off the last light.

To solve this problem, I plan on setting some time aside this weekend to work on a little something. Even if it’s just an art card or the beginnings of an art journal page, I will tap into some of the inspiration that’s been flooding in lately.
And, speaking of working in an art journal, art journal prompts will be resuming in my Mixed Media Arts topic today!
