I’ve been daydreaming about how to set up my office and studio space ever since last night. It looks like it might be coming to fruition sooner than I thought. I’m not getting my hopes up too high, because life has a way of changing it’s mind without notice. (so annoying, but still a reality)
There are some pieces I really want to create, but I have to get the pieces of canvas first. I’d like to find some really-really big pieces of stretched canvas, three pieces to be exact, so I’m going to have to scavenger around. I haven’t seen the size I want in the craft stores, so I may have to order some.
Rather than doing the art journal pages directly on the walls, I’m going to start off by experimenting on the large canvases. That way, I can truly see if this is something I want permanently on my walls. I have this whole project envisioned in my mind’s eye, but who knows how it’ll actually look up there.
I’m also thinking about mounting the canvases first, and then working on them mural-painting-style. This is still a plan in progress, but I think considering my space constraints, this will be the best solution. I’m not going to get started until after school starts, though, because I’m also facing time constraints.
