It's day one of this art a day challenge called ArtSoMoFo!
As most writers know, NaNoWriMo is about completing a novel during November and there's a need to break the writing into daily chunks. This art a day challenge is set up in a similar way in that artists work on or complete a piece of art and share the progress and process with the group daily.
My work for ArtSoMoFo this year is comprised of many projects, many of which I'll be posting as a how-to article within this topic. I'm interested in spreading my wings and exploring new methods, materials and techniques. We'll all learn as I go, which will benefit everyone.
Even if you're not a member of livejournal.com, where this challenge is operating, I encourage all of you out there to participate this month. Most artists I come across would love to add daily art making to their routines and habits. Yes, it's a huge effort to achieve this goal and it's worth every minute. This challenge will get you set up and on your way!
My arsenal of goodies:
This list is just the basics to keep me going throughout the month. I have a separate "mofo" section set up in my art studio to keep productivity alive. I also have a running to-do list set out so projects can be easily referred to and not forgotten. This will also help ward off artist’s block.
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts, questions and progress! Please share your comments!
