Yep, the end of the year fast approaches, and it's that time to take stock of our lives, not just in our work environment, but our personal lives as well.
During this holiday season, as you frantically search for the perfect gifts for those on your list, consider the option of a very precious and costly gift. Give of yourself, not your money.
Make a point of spending time with your loved ones - take out children (your own, your neices/nephews or cousins) skating (ice or roller) or to a park for a day (and no, I don't mean a Disney type of Park, but that's ok too if that's what pleases you too!). When was the last time you went to the zoo? Especially seeing it through the eyes of kids?
Take your aunt or uncle to an art gallery or museum, or to a play. Your mom would love lunch with you to herself! Plan a movie night with your older sis, or a juniour hockey game with younger brother. Or even just a night at home with a board game.
The idea here is to give of yourself - talk to these people, and more importantly, listen to what they want to say.
That's life coaching - enjoy what you have while you can. Leave the monetary gifts to others. No one really remembers the things they got for Christmas, but they sure remember the fun TIMES they had with people.
Be a Life Coach - for Life!
