Last night, I was watching Survivor: Cook Islands. Aitu, the Hispanic tribe, decides that they are strong enough to get rid of the 'dead weight'. Oscar "Ozzy", who is emerging as a leader of the tribe, wanted Billy gone. Billy, the heavy metal musician, didn't do a lot of work around the tribe. It seemed like he was napping and eating - and that's about it.
I can understand the tribe's annoyance, but why throw a challenge to kick him off? Why not talk to him and tell him - 'If you don't shape up, we'll ship you out?' Warn a human being. It doesn't matter if you're all latino or not, he's a human being and deserved better treatment.
It was upsetting to me that such a strong tribe would weaken its numbers in this way. They didn't have to do this. They totally threw that challenge. It was obvious and sickening.
I'm a little disgusted with Aitu.
Here's a recap from Reality TV Online, if you don't understand why I'm ranting and raving. Good luck, Cristina, you're gonna need it! Ozzy doesn't like you either! You might be next!
Perhaps, next week, Puka (the Asian team) can band together and vote out Cao Boi - they seem to dislike him immensely. I'm being sarcastic, but I really hope that Aitu's treachery doesn't set a nasty precedent.
I was even more upset because the episode aired during Hispanic Heritage Month! I know I shouldn't get so emotional, but really
why was this move necessary?
These tribes got to stop turning on themselves and compete against each other.
