"Top Model" contestant AJ says the show contacted her via her MySpace page and asked her to try out. In an interview with TV Guide, AJ says that the process isn't about picking the best model. It's kinda "political." She also thought it was "ironic as hell" that she got eliminated the same week she was chosen as the CoverGirl of the Week. Us too!
Padma Lakshmi, the smokin' hot new host of Bravo TV's "Top Chef", is a supermodel, cookbook author and wife to novelist Salman Rushdie. Yup! Padma, who was born in Chennai, India, is fluent in English, Hindi, Italian, Spanish and Tamil. She's a grad of Clark University in Massachusetts and was in the remake of the Ten Commandments with Dougray Scott and Naveen Andrews this past spring.
