The town of Greenburgh, New York, has named its first Poet Laureate, African-American poet Brenda Connor-Bey. Her inauguration ceremony for her two-year term is open to the poetry loving public.

This free season kick off celebration will offer a look inside Congo Square Theatre Company. It includes a sneak preview of the 2006-2007 season which is dedicated to Pulitzer Prize winning playwright August Wilson; a chance to meet Congo Square ensemble members, staff and board of directors; an opportunity to learn about season subscriptions; and the chance to learn more about Congo Square's mission, vision and future.
