Toddler Learning tools

The problem with the letter sets is that once you spell your child's name, those letters are gone. You can show them there name but that is absolutely no fun for a toddler. With tiny people as with adults, we learn best when we are enjoying ourselves.

Create your own alphabet letters for the toddlers to learn with. Use our magnetic poetry project but focus on individual letters. Instead of the magnetic strips use the magnetic sheets and you can make the letters larger. You can also make as many of the individual letters as you need.

This is a project that calls for using lots of bright colors. You may also want to print the letters in color and combine a letter set into also a color tool.

Instead of white paper you may want to use card stock for durability and they are available in a wide range of vibrant colors.

You can even cover the letters with clear contact paper to insure they last a long time.

Try all different fonts. Your can make some of the letters one style, some another, and still more in an entirely different font. You can include upper and lower case.

Don't forget you can also use these for numbers and objects. You are only limited by your imagination.

You can make large magnetic poetry words for the toddler of things and people in their world.

And this time when you spell their name there are still more of those letters for them to use and play a game where they have to find those letters and put them in the right order. This is a great tool for learning literacy and can be lots of fun for the children.
