This idea comes from Julie in Pennsylvania. Her daughter was having a baby and she began scrap booking from the moment she found out she was going to be a new grandma. She spent a lot of time looking at baby related sites on the internet. During one of her searches for baby information, she cam across an address where you could right after the birth of the baby. The letter goes to the White House and the baby receives a letter from the President of the United States and the First Lady welcoming the new baby. She thought it was a fun idea to have a letter from the current president in the babies scrapbook. With each subsequent grandchild she has done the same.
If you would like to receive a letter from the President and his wife to celebrate the birth of your new baby or grandbaby, simply write the name of the baby, the date of birth and that you are requesting the presidential letter for the birth of the new baby. I have included the address to write below.
