Magnetic Scrapbook Pages

We have all of the embellishments and beautiful papers but at some point it all starts looking too similar. Do you need something to punch up your pages without spending hundreds of dollars? I have just the thing. Tommorow, April 18, I will be publishing an article about making your own magnetic poetry. As I was writing this article, it got the wheels turning. What if we used the magnetic sheets as a scrapbooking page and had a page of magnetic poetry in our scrapbook?

If you are like me and use the clear page protectors for your sheets, you know that there are some products you can't use such as fold outs because it is not going to work within the confines of the page protector. This idea will work with or without the protector. It may even be better with the protector because the plastic sheeting will protect the page while the children rearrange the letters.

Here is how it works. Use a magnetic sheet for the page or a part of the page in your scrapbook and include the magnetic poetry words for a new type of embellishment.

You can let the kids create their own words and then make their own pages. They can change them hundreds of times until they get the page just how they desire. You can even add magnets to other embellishments with hot glue and allow them to have even more options.

Make sure to catch tommorows article for intructions and I will include on April 21, a blog to help you create a toddler learning tool using the same concepts. Enjoy
