My family enjoys going to yard sales occasionally in the summer. This even includes my husband. Sometimes it is about finding a treasure and sometimes it is about finding the item that with some creativity can become an even greater treasure. Last weekend we went to a few yard sales and I had one of those moments.
If you are anything like me you understand the emotional high that comes from saving money and getting that lightning bolt of an idea all at the same time.
We had been shopping for about an hour and I hadn't found much. I was excited to find some brand new copper kitchen molds for a quarter but not much else. Then we decided to go to a different area of town. From a distance I saw a patio table with chairs and the umbrella and a rocker loveseat for the patio.
I don't take a lot of money when I yard sale because the idea is to save money, not spend more on stuff I don't need.
I have to admit, this furniture had me intrigued. I was sure they were going to be priced high or so damaged it would be cheaper to buy new than repair it. But I made a beeline directly for and had to ask the price. Was I ever surprised to find the table, four chairs, umbrella and stand-$3.00. Love seat-$1.00. I live for these moments. While they were all functional, they got my gears turning about how I could make them even better.
Then I got thinking about you. You go to those yard sales or get lawn furniture past down to you. You have lawn furniture that has seen better days. While I was brainstorming for my own find, I thought you may have similar finds and would appreciate some ideas. On July 29, I have an article for you all about revitalizing your yard furniture whether it be from patio or lawn.
