Coffee and Walnut Dying

I mentioned that tea dying doesn't necessarily need tea. Coffee can be used just like tea and it can be in any form (instant, drip, etc.). The nice thing about coffee is that it actually gives a warmer hue to the fabric than tea.

Another product you can use is walnut crystal. This is actually from the walnut tree. They work great and it takes very little for a big impact.

Regardless of which product you use. Fill a bowl with hot water. Add your product. You can squeeze it out a little or a lot depending on if you want pooling. Some people like putting these in the dryer but I personally have had problems with the clothes that followed these in the dryer and prefer to air dry or use the oven.

Remember there are no rules. This means you can even use these in combinations. Play around and see what you can come up with.
