Q. Is Coco Bedding Safe for Rats?

On December 21, 2008, I received the following question on my article titled Cages and Bedding for Pet Rats: "Is Coco bedding safe for rats?"

The simple answer to this question is yes - this is a safe bedding option for a pet rat. Coco bedding is made from coconut husk fibers. it's soft, dust-free, oil-free and absorbent, making it a suitable option for rat cages.
