Sarah's House Season Two on HGTV

After a successful first season of Sarah's House, Canadian interior designer Sarah Richardson has bought another house. If you happened to watch the show last season, you would have seen a fantastic transformation of an early 20th century house to a contemporary home.

Like the first season, this year's show begins with Sarah looking at many houses with her realtor and points out the good and the bad features of each one. She looks at the potential and ponders over what needs to be done in order to bring the house to her standards. Most of the properties are an immediate “no” in Sarah's opinion and then she finds the house with the possibility of turning it into a dream home.

It's 1960's retro back-split home in the suburbs. The house is caught in a time warp but many of the 60's features are back in style again.

In the first show, Sarah gets the keys to the house and brings Tommy, her designer side-kick, for his a walk-through. The rapport between Tommy and Sarah is always entertaining and filled with one-liners that make you chuckle. What Tommy suggests to be torn down, Sarah says she wants to keep. I think she disagreed with Tommy only to get him rattled.

The home owners leave behind an organ. Sarah plays her theme song on it before Tommy tries to turn it off.

At the end of the show, Sarah has a walk through with Vito the contactor. As she tellsVito of her plans for the house, he gives her a rundown of what needs to be done and what can't be done. During this segment, the sound of a cash register rings in the background.

Watch the show every week to see her renovate each room. The second episode was shown this week where she transforms the nursery and the home office into a beautiful and functional space in the usual Sarah Richardson style.

Sarah has a renovation budget of $170,000 and I wonder if she will be able to keep it under this limit?
