What Do You Do With Unfinished Projects?

Klondike bars are great. They're yummy and sweet and so delicious on a hot day. But can you make quilts with them?

Whether your UFOs (Unfinished Objects) are quilt blocks or embroidery patches you never got around to framing, you probably have a few of them floating around somewhere or stacked neatly in a bin. Never mind why they are unfinished... illness, lost interest, or just wanted to get a head start for the next quick gift... if you have 'em, I've got a solution for attacking that stack.

My article on creating cute door pillows from UFOs is written mainly for cross-stitch and embroidery, but you can use small quilt blocks or other orphan projects if you'd like. They're great because they don't need to be framed, don't take up any shelf space, and are absolutely one-of-a-kind once you're done with them. Brighten up a room or give one as a gift. Small ones can be hung as ornaments on holiday trees, and you can even modify my pattern to make Tooth Fairy door pillows that will hold a treasured tooth (as well as the treasure that is left in its place).

I'd love to hear from you and see the photos you've taken of your results from this pattern. Start a discussion here on the site, or email me at: sewingneedlework@suite101.com and fill me in.
