Managing the Home?

Here at Suite 101 it used to be that we had to write blogs in our FW topics. For almost a year, I was Parenting Teens editor, so if you scroll down thru my old blogs you'll notice lots of stuff written about me parenting my teen daughter. Well, now a.) that Suite requirement has changed, we are *FREE* to write anything we like and b.) I switched topics this month to Home Management.

To be perfectly honest, what I enjoy writing about most is Holidays. There is no 'specific' topic on Suite for Holidays, but under "Entertaining" there is "Holiday Entertaining" and that's about the closest- so many of my articles in the past have been posted there. From now on, I'll probably post most of my articles under my own little topic, and I welcome other Suite writers to hang out here as well!

I am not sure exactly what expertise I have in Home Management. As I write this, my washing machine holds a load of wet clothes that need to go in the dryer, there are dirty dishes in my sink, the kids' shoes, bookbags and jackets are scattered everywhere, and I served Subway sandwiches for dinner. Not exactly the Martha-Stewart-perfect model of home management, eh?

But I do love exploring new ways to try to bring order to the chaos of having four kids, a husband who's out of town during the week, and a writing career. "Home Management" sounds like something we all can aspire to acheive. Let's work on clearing the clutter together! Now if I can find my shoes I'll go buy some storage containers!...
