Some cool interactive fun for grandkids of many ages Try ice cube painting or beautiful bubbles. Almost time for back-to-school, so grab the kids and have a last fling.
Inspirational octogenarians: Three photographers leave a legacy A wonderful story about Don Mahler, Vic LaBolle and John Becker who are being recognized by their community for a lifetime of images. Isn't it satisfying to see healthy, active guys still snapping the shutter in their 80s?
New Age Home for the Aged -- in India A fascinating story about how older people in India are becoming recognized as valuable and deserving of a good quality of life. In America, elder care is a huge industry with quality ranging form outstanding to "should-be-shut-down." The rest of the world seems to be making a strides now.
Seniors who finished the Boston Marathon. I was amazed to learn that runners in two categories - Age 60-69 as well as 70 and over, men and women, not only enter the marathon, but they finish the course. These athletes come in not too far behind younger runners. Ok, they may be a little slower and more careful, but they train as hard and have the heart to go the miles. Bravo. The link takes you to a list of the top 15 in each category.
A bit of humor to warm your cockles and exercise your face. Spend a minute at this site - the first poem is wonderful, for example,

With silver in their hair, gold in their teeth,
Stones in their kidneys, lead in their feet,
And gas in their stomachs."
