Elder abuse is a growing problem. Our in-depth article Elder Abuse and Neglect can tell you what to look for and what constitutes abuse.
Every state has passed laws controlling this insidious problem, so help is a reality if you know what to do. Whether you're a victim or you know someone who is, or you just want to help spread the word, here are some resources to get you started.
Remember this: Even if you aren't absolutely positive someone is in danger or being harmed, trust your instincts. If you think something is wrong, it probably is. Is if looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. Contact someone who can help.
