Hippopotamus - From the Greek for potamos, "river", and hippos, "horse".

Arthropod - From the Greek for artron, "jointed", and ped, "foot".

Arachnid - From the Greek for Arachne, "spider".

Amphibian - From the Greek for amphi, "on both sides", and bios, "life".
