The People of Mesopotamia

This week, we will begin examining the various cultures of the ancient region of Mesopotamia, located in modern-day Iraq. This region was home to many influential civilizations, dating from 9000 B.C. - 500 A.D. Some of the civilizations that we will cover in this series will include:

• The Sumerians
• The Babylonians
• The Hittites
• The Assyrians
• The Persians
