Lessons on Homer and Troy

An exhibit featuring works of ancient art depicting scenes from the Tojan War, including frescoes from Pompeii, is running through February, 2007 at Rome's Colosseum. The exhibit, which also includes verses from Homers epic "Iliad" underneath corresponding works, is designed for the general public, in hopes of educating them on the importance of the legacy of Homer and his works.

Homer, who is now widely thought to have been an amalgamation of many Greek poets through ancient Greek history, is also credited with the epic "Odyssey". Both epics tell of the pain of war and its aftermath.
