I loved the book the devil wears prada but did not get around to seeing the movie when it original played in the movie theaters. I finally got around to watching it on pay per view last week and was really impressed by the use of layered gold necklaces worn by the Andy character.

I scouted around the internet to find a recommendation for a attractive yet affordable karated gold necklace and my top pick was found at Blue Nile.

My favorite was a 18k gold bar lariet necklace. It has a slightly layered look and can also serve as a foundation for shorter gold chains to create a total layered look.

Affordability is relative - however at $200 I found this necklace to be a good deal.

I've never ordered from Blue Nile. However, my brother did 'build' his wife's engagement ring there and was totally satisfied with the result.
