Remember my book review of 500 Necklaces and the article I wrote regarding how to have your jewelry art included in a publication such as this?
Well, in the latest Metalsmith magazine Lark Books has issued a call for entries. Their next book in the series of "500" will be pendants and lockets.
The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2007 and the two jurors are Elizabeth Shypertt and Mike Holmes. The anticipated publish date of the book is spring 2008. Up to three submissions are accepted (two images for each submission)- current design work is preferred.
Some general image instructions: Lark Books prefers slides/transparencies for submission and does not want any altering of the slide image using PhotoShop or the like. According to the instructions they will accept TIFF data format files but as I said earlier - they prefer slides or transparencies.
This gives you about a month to design and hand craft your pendant or locket and get the slides made and out the door.
Good luck!
