Gladiator sandals, extremely hot for some time, are now starting to seem "so last season." The ubiquitous flat is making a comeback once again -- do flats really ever go out of style? From expensive designer versions to everyday "cheapie" brands, flats can be found in all colors, styles and fabrics.

Unlike heavier shoes, in which patterns can seem overwhelming, simple flats in crazy colors or fabrics look fresh and fun -- anything from zebra or leopard print, stripes or madras, and metallics can jazz up any outfit.
