It's common knowledge that Los Angeles winters feature more warm days than cold. Thanksgiving is routinely sunny, with the heat of the oven making the temperature seem even warmer than it already is. And the picture of Santa Claus in shorts in such films as "Almost Famous" (in which the main character lives in San Diego)? Not so far fetched.
But this season in L.A. stores, from department stores to boutiques, one would never know they're in sunny-land. Scarves, hats, gloves... all are not only featured, but offered in an abundances of styles and colors.
Does someone have early knowledge for a cold-weather forecast, or are Los Angeles residents just hoping for a more traditional holiday season?
