Four lbs away from reaching my goal! Cutting back on carbs, high-fat dairy, and eating out.

I have made just a few tiny modifications in my diet that have made a huge difference. Instead of eating cereal in the morning, I eat an egg. Instead of 2 percent milk, I drink skim. I eat at home and very seldom go out. Granted, it's a bit of an inconvenience to have a refrigerator full of three different kinds of milk! Mark drinks 2 percent, our son drinks whole milk and I'm the one that switched to skim. That is one thing Mark will not give up. I don't blame him. He's lost more weight than me, still!

Anyway, it feels really good to be so close. I watch the bar graph on the Wii Fit slowly go down. I have to say, it is difficult to step on that Wii platform every single morning. But the exercises go fast, and 30 minutes is over in no time. It's funny. The balance poses are the hardest and I think, do me the most good. At first I thought, how is standing on one leg going to help me lose weight? Then I realized that takes a lot of strength!

If only I didn't have to deal with that darned hula hoop! But it's helped me whittle down my waist. I think I am down a clothing size. Now it's time to go shopping! No, I'll wait for some better sales.
