Buying Hair Color at Sephora

I haven't colored my own hair since I was in my 20's when my brown tresses turned a burnt orange color! But I decided to take the plunge again when Sephora started selling hair color.

I love the color I get at the salon, but I want to save money, And I'm tired of spending two and half hours with the hair stylist (as much as I like her!)

So with my husband Mark's help, I followed the directions on the package, and after a breathless 35 minute wait, the color turned out great! I have to say the tone I started with ran a little dark, at least for me. It was a dark blonde, but looked dark brown on me. I ended up using light blonde all over, and on my hair, looks more like a light brown. It's really pretty. I'm planning on trying the very light blonde as highlights, although Mark has volunteered to thread strands through the cap with what looks like a crochet needle. I'll let you know how it goes!
