Yesterday, when I hopped on the Wii Fit, I was told, "Congratulations, you haven't missed a day in six weeks!" I guess that's the good news. Because the bad news is, I thought I would have reached my goal by now! But I am only five pounds away. That's very close, and I know I can do it.
Once you get to the final leg of your journey, it becomes easier. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ok, enough with the cliches. Mark is still losing more weight than me and eating more, but I am ok with it. My weight hasn't be this low, well, since college! And I feel really strong. I am trying to vary the workouts all the time. Today, was the first day I didn't do the step. I thought it was getting a little repetitive. So I worked more on strength and yoga. And I can feel my muscles. I made sure I did the hula hoop, which as you know I really HATE! That and the push ups. But I never miss the "pushup/side plank" exercise. I do it first to get the darn thing over with.
As far as my eating, I'm really getting into the protein thing, and severely cutting back on carbs. In fact, I've completely given up cereal in the morning in favor of a pouched egg and a fruit smoothie. When I did that, the pounds started coming off! My only little setback happened yesterday when I ate too much of that Valentine's candy! It was for our son. Mark and I were really good. For the first time on this holiday, neither of us gave the other chocolate!
