21 Days Working Out With Wii Fit; Only Lost Four Pounds, Frustration Setting In

It's day 21, and the scale isn't budging! Normally, I would be really upset, except that a reader commented that she went weeks without losing a pound and then all of a sudden, three or four came off. So, thanks "S," you have given me the motivation to keep trudging through this seemingly insurmountable task!

I figure as long as I am maintaining the status quo and don't start gaining weight, I'll be ok for a while. In the mean time, I continue to workout with Wii Fit for 45 minutes a day, and am walking for at least 15 minutes on top of that. Lately, I've started walking on the treadmill while I watch TV. So last night I walked for about 45 minutes without realizing how long I'd been at it.

I'm also stepping up the cardio portion of the game. (Again, a thoughtful reader's recommendation. What would I do without you guys!) So I've been doing the "advanced step" two times, the basic step two times, and the hula hoop (which I hate) one time. I have even added very light weights to the step routine and it seems to give me a better workout.

I love the yoga! I make sure I spend at least 15 minutes on it. I think my knee has gotten better because of all the stretching. And even though I haven't lost much weight, my clothes are looser, So I rewarded myself with new workout clothes. Eddie Bauer just started a yoga line. You'll get a free water bottle with your purchase and save 15% with coupon code EBSPORT. (The code expires February 18, 2009.) I figure better fitting clothes might inspire me more! Hey, where I'm at now, whatever works.
