Country-pop starlet Taylor Swift managed to win the Best Female Video prize at the Sept. 13, 2009, MTV Video Music Awards in New York City on live TV--never mind that she was the lone country contender in the crowd.
Not everyone was thrilled over the always-fashionably dressed Swift's win, however, and in particular, singer Kanye West wrestled the microphone from the 19-year-old in the middle of her acceptance speech. Still, Swift remained gracious and kept her cool, even if she seemed at a loss as what to do following the rude behavior of West during the live show.
Kudos to Swift on winning the MTV Moonman trophy; boo to West for acting out and throwing his sour grapes around the world during the Grammy-winning singer's moment in the spotlight.
