Country star Steve Wariner has secured Allegro Media Group, one of the largest independent distributors of music in North America, to distribute Steve Wariner, c.g.p., My Tribute to Chet Atkins on behalf of the singer's own label, SelecTone Records.
The 11-song tribute to Wariner's friend, mentor and former boss was first made available this summer as a limited-edition release through Wariner's Web site and originally slated for widespread release Aug. 25. However, the CD will now be available through brick-and-mortar and online retailers beginning Nov. 10, 2009, withAllegro also overseeing distribution on SelecTone's back-catalog.

Via the same Aug. 29 media statement, Forrest Faubion, distribution product manager for Allegro, noted, "We are extremely pleased to welcome to our roster one of America's most highly respected recording artists.Our new partnerships with Steve Wariner and his SelecTone Records label further illustrate Allegro's commitment to quality and expertise!
"I have long been a Chet Atkins fan, too, and it is a personal joy to be involved in this very special tribute project," he added.
