The Osborn sisters of country music, Kristyn, Kelsi and Kassidy, will soon unveil the trio's fifth CD for those who've been wondering when country fans would get a fresh serving of music from SHeDAISY.
Initially, the threesome were set to preview music from the group's upcoming Lyric Street CD, A Story to Tell, for Nashville-area media, including this writer, but a week prior to the get-together, SHeDAISY's PR rep fired out an e-mail to say the sisters wanted a tad more time to make it just right.
"The girls are excited to share their new music, however, they are still in the studio making some additions, and we want to wait until everything is complete to share the music,” reported the act’s PR via electronic mail.
All good things come to those who wait, however, and country listeners will likely be glad the group's harmony singers took the time in the studio to polish it to perfrection. Until the new CDs unveied later this spring, anticipation only builds among the act's fans, according to fan-generated message-board chatter about SHeDAISY.
Radio and country audiences haven't heard new music from the sisters since their March 2006 disc, Fortuneteller's Melody, a 12-song collection that featured 11 tracks co-written by Kristyn, the act’s primary tunesmith.
Named for the Navajo term meaning “my (little) sister," SHeDAISY and Lyric Street also released a greatest-hits compilation, The Best of SHeDaisy in 2008, that includes some of their top-10 numbers, including Little Good-Byes, This Woman Needs, I Will… Butand Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing, to name but four of that CD's 12 tracks.
In the meantime, expect A Story to Tell to make its foray soon, chock-ful of the contemporary, harmony-laced country sounds that only SHeDAISY can create.
