The Henry County Fairgrounds in Paris, Tenn., some two-and-a-half hours outside Nashville, will be the place to spy Grammy-winning country artist Gretchen Wilson come Sept. 14, 2009, rain or shine.
The redneck diva of country will be on hand to make an appearance in a TV show that’s planning to capture the action of an exhibition demolition-derby event on film that day, and organizers report admission is free, so for those who can, come on out and be part of the fun—or even part of the “extras” in the stands.
Just a few days prior to the fairgrounds event, the country songstress will participate in an auction in Nashville, where the high bidder can win a date with Wilson. This event, too, is a race-related endeavor but one that will benefit charity.
For more info on the Sept. 14 derby event, which will be broadcast for television in conjunction with a national network, please contact Mike Weatherford Promotions online via DerbyMadness.com or by calling 731-782-3234.
