Much of the fun in attending singer-songwriter Brady Seals' CD release party for Play Time, his brand-new solo CD, was the fact that the country aritst had no idea that he was attending a party in his honor, thanks to his wife, Lisa Stewart Seals.
Held near Nashville on the evening of Aug. 18, 2009, the same day as the official release of Play Time, Brady thought this particular Tuesday evening would be like how he prefers to spend his Tuesdays, on a "date night" with his missus.
Soooo, when Lisa was dressed to the nines for her weekly outing with her hubby and looking like the goddess she is, he simply considered himself a lucky, lucky man about to hit a private party for a few minutes--per the request of his publicist--then perhaps go on to dinner with his spouse.
What the country-rocker got instead, however, was a party celebrating his new music and latest Star City Recording, with friends, songwriters, media and fellow musicians all around, including Seals' mentor, Rodney Crowell, who joined Brady as part of an impromptu acoustic set of music from the new CD and wished him well with his latest musical venture.
