Tried ‘n’ true Lone Star native Miranda Lambert is the focus of a new online episode of Soundcheck, an online performance series sponsored by retail-giant Walmart that features behind-the-scenes footage and live-music previews by some of the day’s hottest artists.
For her part, the 2009 CMA nominee for Female Vocalist starred in her very own Soundcheck segment in honor of her latest CD, the 15-song Revolution, which will be released Sept. 29, 2009.
In addition to performing several songs in an intimate soundstage setting with her band, Lambert also offers viewers insight into her new CD’s creation, including the growth she feels she’s undergone as an artist and songwriter, as well as the input her steady boyfriend, country star Blake Shelton, had on the upcoming album.
Moreover, for those who haven’t yet decided whether the blond performer’s latest CD belongs among one’s country-CD collection, the Soundcheck’s glimpses of Lambert’s new music, along with a couple of familiar tracks, “Dead Flowers” and “Everyone’s Famous in a Small Town,” may send new fans to the record store in search of Revolution or even prior Lambert albums.
Available since Sept. 15, Lambert’s series segment is available by accessing http://soundcheck.walmart.com/miranda-lambert.
