Now that Halloween is over it's time to start thinking about the holidays. Thanksgiving is only three weeks away! It's always wonderful to entertain during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. And one of the best ways to entertain a bunch of people without a lot of stress is to have a dessert party.
All you have to do is choose a few different desserts, send out invitations (be sure to specify that the food will be desserts only), set up a pretty buffet table with some sturdy and pretty plates and forks, and have fun. These are some of my favorite desserts for entertaining. All can be made ahead of time, and the combination of textures, flavors, and temperatures complement each other. Be sure to set out some fresh fruits too, for those who don't like or can't eat so many sweets.

Be sure to offer several kinds of drinks; sweets make people thirsty! Offer a nice punch and some sparkling water, along with a wine or two and some coffee and tea. Now this is a party you can really enjoy!
