Sometimes fear can save you (from a doomed marriage, for example); other times, fear can hamper your life (you develop a phobia about relationships based on one bad experience).
How do you know if you have a phobia? For instance, I've always been scared of bungee jumping. I've never tried it, but I know I couldn't step out of a plane! Is this a phobia or a normal fear? Since I don't come across this in my everyday life, it's more difficult to apply the 3 ways to know if you have a phobia scenario.
