Throughout the month of October, the bewitching month, American History will feature articles concerned with The Salem Witch Trials. This series of articles will include situations leading up to various persons being accused of witchcraft, biographies of some of the major characters such as the accusers and the accused. The witch trials and the condemning judges and the executions will also be explored. The series begins with Growing Up in Salem, Massachusetts: Rebelling Against Adult Rule. This will be followed by Sundays in Salem, Massachusetts: Droning Sermons and Hard Benches, and Children Beware of Demons: Cotton Mather Gives Warning.
