Politics in Boston in the early 1900s was pretty exciting and different with Irishman Johnny Fitzgerald enthroned on the mayor's seat. He gave his Irish bartender friends political positions and created new jobs such as city dermatologist, rubber boot repairers, tea warmers, tree climbers, wipers, and watchmen to watch other watchmen. Fitz had quite an adventure right up to when his grandson became President of the United States. This tale begins at: John Francis Fitzgerald .
