I continue my What to Watch This Summer quest. I’ve gone through a stack of pilots, and so far here is the low down:
I’ll do actual reviews on most of these, but best to take note now:
The Good: Carpoolers, Gossip Girl, Reaper
The Ok: Miss/Guided, Chuck, Big Shots
The Ugly: Life, Eli Stone, Running Wild, Dirty Sexy Money.
The Worst Thing I’ve Ever Seen in My Life: Cavemen.
I should be getting more pilots soon. Yay!
In the meantime, I’m doing some research – yes research – into other shows that have received good reviews but that I never watched, and then seeing if they are queue-able. I’m thinking The 4400 (Season 1, 2 and 3 are available), the last two seasons of ER (not available) and 24. (My co-worker was supposed to bring me the first season, but he keeps forgetting. Hmph. For some reason I can’t be convinced to put in Rescue Me (Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are available) or The Wire (Season 1 -4 available) because they just sound so damn depressing. Oh but look, ABC Family’s Beautiful People (the complete 1st – and only – season) is available. Ok, so I’ve seen the whole thing in real time.
Maybe I’ll watch Entourage in real time instead of on DVD when they become available. I’m going to call Time Warner Cable…
…Done. I know have HBO for an extra $15 a month. Ooooh… John from Cincinaati…Oceans 13 First Look…Movies!
Gasp! Do I dare cheat on my fellow TV lovers?
