October Road recap

I know that I've blogged and reviewed this show at great length, but October Road is my new favorite show. Did anyone see it last night? When the guys were lipsyncing to "Amanda"?? I died. Died. Bryan Greenberg is sexy sexy sexy. I thought I'd have a heart attack. And uh... that kid is going to be a real hottie when he grows up. Is it wrong that I feel that way? I mean, I know that he's ten years old, but he's a hottie in training.

I'm still having issues with those secondary characters though. I like the bartender girl, and her storyline with the good looking guy...but notice that I can't remember their names. That's not good. But let me tell you the gist: The bartender girl is a little heavy, but still pretty. We like her. The good looking guy is a friend of Bryan Greenberg's character, Nick. (That much I know.) But I can't figure out if he's mad at Nick for leaving and writing a book about his hometown. No matter, he has his bartender to keep him company. So, in the pilot we could tell that he kind of liked Bartender, and at the end of episode two he asked her out. She's giddy with excitement but then also a little paranoid when he takes her to an out of the way place on their date. "Are you ashamed to be seen with me?" ( *Sniff!* ) But he isn't afraid to be seen with her, he just really likes their shrimp scampi.

There's another guy who is an agoraphobic. Maybe he's Nick's brother? I'm not sure. But he has a crush on the pizza delivery girl, so he orders pizza all the time even though he's lactose intolerant.

Then there is a dark haired guy (Rick? Wait, that can't be right. Too close to Nick.) He dated Hannah (Nick's ex girlfriend, played by Laura Prepon) until Nick arrived back in town. Hannah broke up with Not-Rick in Thursday's episode.

Tom Berenger is Nick's dad.

There is a pretty dark haired girl who is a student at the college where Nick teaches. She likes him, and kissed him in Thursday's ep. He seemed...not unhappy about it.

Oh! And Nick has a friend, the Turtle of the goup, who is having an affair with the wife of another one of their friends. But I can't remember what that friend's name is, or even what he looks like.
