Well. Here I was thinking that I'd been remiss in my blogging. "It's been forever," thought I. Only to sit down, prepared to write, and see that the last time I wrote was only 3 days ago. Well now. Thats not so bad.
But holidays and all, you know. First, there aren't many shows to dissect because they're all going on hiatus, and second, I have holiday parties to go to. Yes, me! Invited to holiday parties. One would think that since my life revolves around TV and writing about TV that I wouldn't be invited anywhere. But never fear, readers. Karen has a life. Sort of. Maybe.
The good thing about my favorite shows going on hiatus is that I can check out shows that I don't often watch. Of course, will all those holiday parties I've been invited to, I haven't been watching a lot of TV the past couple of days. I should be ashamed of myself.
There are three shows that have captured my attention lately, the first of which is My Boys. I'm liking it more every week; PJ is becoming less annoying and I'm starting to see some hope that someday waaaay in the future, she may hook up with her roommate, who is definetly the cutest of her boys. But the best thing about this show continues to be PJ's thinking like a guy. I love it.
The second is Jericho. Yes, Jericho, the pilot of which I tore apart. But, frankly, the pilot deserved to be torn apart, because it was awful. However, I've been researching it for a project ,and I feel as if I have seen every single episode. So I shall perhaps sample this show during the winter hiatus, and give it another shot.
Lastly, I'm thinking of watching Friday Night Lights. I thought the pilot was well done, althoughh a little dull. I might have continued watching it if it hadn't conflicted with a more important show, although I can't remember what that show was now. (And yes, I could have taped it/Tivoed it, but a girl must draw the line somewhere.)
And, I should of course add my obsession with the old Crossing Jordan's that air every weekday on TNT. I thank the TV Show Gods that that show is finally on the spring schedule.
