Benji Wins So You Think You Can Dance

Gooo Benji! Yes, I am happy for Benji that he won So You Think You Can Dance, He's a good dancer and he has a ton of personality, and he's so gosh darn likeable.

Ok. Now, having said that, let's get honest. Benji didn't deserve to win that competition. Not on merit, anyway. He's good, yeah, but Travis was better. Travis ia funny character because I didn't see him coming at all. Paired with Martha he was downright boring. But he really stepped up towards the end, and that Wade Robson group number (where they were supposed to be supermodels) was so good, and he was so sexy in it. That's when I fully understood Travis's talent. Unfortunately, it was too little too late for this boy.

America is an interesting beast. Personality is apparently much more important than talent. This explains why Ivan got as far as he did, and it explains why Allison was kicked off too early. She should have been one of the top 4, replacing Donyelle, who clearly rode in on Benji's coattails. Allison was pretty and she was really good, but Donyelle had chemistry with Benji, and she was overweight and America loved that.

Poor Heidi was robbed. The final two of the chosen four should have been Heidi and Travis. But even though she had more personality than Allison, it apparently just wasn't enough.

So congratulations Benji. Not only can you dance, but you have personality to spare.
