Be sure to protect yourself by using mosquito repellent, repairing holes in screens, and by eliminating any standing water around your home.
Make an inspection frequently. I was unpleasantly surprised this week to find that my air conditioner overflow was pooling water against the house. This is most likely due to the extreme heat in July when the air conditioning ran 24/7 and I didn't venture outside to look for pools of water. I thought the heat would have dried them up. Who knew?
If you have to be outside a small white plate of water with a couple of drops of lemon dish soap will attract and kill the mosquitos. Use this if you don't have citronella candles and set it a few feet away from you.
