The Internet Crime Complaint Center reports that complaints of Internet fraud have almost doubled in the past two years.
What is the reason behind this? Could it be that criminals are getting more savvy and are learning how to navigate the Internet? Or could it be that victims of Internet fraud have not reported the crimes in the past due either to shame or lack of knowledge as to where to report the crimes?
Whatever the answer is, Internet fraud complaints are increasing. These internet fraud claims range from advance-fees schemes, non delivery of goods or services, computer hacking or employment/business opportunity schemes.
Have you been the victim of Internet fraud? I would be interested in hearing your stories and how you handled it.
