Fast forward several months, and Tracing Days had secured a major distribution deal, international press and a #1 music video on North America's top Christian music network. Their debut CD "Control" was released nationwide on September 20th.
The band's debut music video for the song "Life Outside" was World Premiered on Gospel Music Channel in August. The video held the #1 spot on the network for two weeks, and it has remained in the Top 5 on the network's rock chart for a record 16 weeks (5 of those weeks at #1) and counting.
"We were thrilled to world premiere “Life Outside” from Tracing Days," stated Jerry Williams with Gospel Music Channel. "The song itself is hooky and thought provoking and the video is stellar. The fact that it’s the first video from this relatively new act made it even sweeter; we can impress people 10 years from now when we say, 'We world premiered Tracing Days' first video.'
The new year starts with the release of a second single ("Monochrome”) to Christian CHR and Rock radio as well as continued television appearances and promotional events. Produced by Ainslie (Fusebox, Rebecca St. James), Tracing Day's modern rock debut is sure to appeal to U2 and Switchfoot fans. Click here to read the full Suite Review of "Control."
