The Invitation Going Strong

There have been 500,000 albums sold since the July 25th, 2006 release into the marketplace by Maranatha! Music. The Invitation's "Invite A Million" campaign, launched at the time of the CD release, set a goal to share the innovative tract with one million people.

Available exclusively at the CBA market, "The Invitation" features Rick Warren guiding the listener through a conversion experience toward becoming a born-again Christian. (Read the full Suite review here.) The narration addresses the sequential topics “What On Earth Am I Here For?”, “Our Creator Loves Us,” “We Are Separated By Sin,” “Accept, Believe, And Receive,” and then finishes up with “Life Has Meaning,” “Invitation Prayer,” and “God’s Promise.” Nestled within the narrative are songs from Christian recording artists Amy Grant, Pocket Full Of Rocks, Casting Crowns, Chris Falson, Joel Engle, Matt Papa, and Phil Wickham. This CD is inspired by and a companion to the Nelson Bibles’ 2005 initiative, The Million Bible Challenge, which aimed to get one-million Bibles in the hands of seekers. To date over 3.5 million Bibles have been distributed through this challenge and as a result thousands have come to Christ.

The Invitation is being sold in boxes of 20 at a cost-effective $1 per CD. Follow up resources are available online to help new believers grow in their faith at www.theinvitation.tv. This spring, Maranatha! Music will make available to retailers the "Seed Hope" program, an extension of the "Invite A Million" campaign. The program includes a free merchandising kit containing "Seed Hope" promotional items which can be used in store to create awareness for The Invitation and online resources available at www.theinvitation.tv.
